Summer Trips to Blanco and San Antonio

We made a trip south for Coaching School in San Antonio (the world's best city for a convention). On our way, we managed to swing by Blanco to see Leighton's Opa and Aunt Kirstin, and then go to Grammy and Grandpa's (Leighton's Great Grandparents) house to see her Great Aunt and Uncle, Glenn and Kelly, her 2nd cousin, Mackenzie, and her Marmie (Tristan's mom). We had a great time, and loved seeing everyone! Here are some pictures from the excursion.

The family on the Riverwalk. We love this place!

The view from our hotel room. Thanks HP for putting us up!

We got to have lunch with the Mousers. Brett went to high school in Blanco and now coaches in Brenham. Hopefully HP will be playing them in the 4A finals this year in football!

Another 4 generation picture. It's pretty amazing!

Going down to the river in Blanco in her swimsuit. Her dad was wearing something quite similar...as usual. This is quite possibly one of my all time favorite pictures! She is constantly smiling at her Aunt Kirstin. So cute!

More Videos from the Summer

She is now laughing and rolling and doing all sorts of fun things. Here she is laughing with her mommy. It's been a really fast 4 months.

Here she is with her Aunt Kirstin at Grammy and Grandpa's house. It was a good time with her Great Aunt and Uncle, Glenn and Kelly, her 2nd cousin, Mackenzie, and Marmie (Leighton's Grandmother on Tristan's side).

Here's Leighton following in a long line of grandkids, and now great grandkids, who get to play the piano with Grammy when they visit her house in San Antonio. She loves her Grammy and Grandpa!

Leighton has now learned how to use all different levels of her voice.

Camping with the Weber family in Bastrop. Here she is with her Uncle Bryan.

We had a great time visiting in Friendswood with Denisa's Grandparents, her Aunt Deborah and Uncle Bill, and Ben and Allison this past weekend. We spent a lot of time just watching Leighton...surprise, surprise!

New Pictures

Sorry that I haven't been too diligent posting pictures of Leighton (because I know that's why most, if not all of you even look at this website). Here are some of the pictures we've taken over the past few weeks (maybe even months) of our sweet girl and the goings on of the Weber family. Enjoy, Tristan and Denisa

Leighton Reese

Yesterday, a new addition came into our lives. Her name is Leighton Reese and she was born at 8:30 pm, March 13, and was 7 lbs 10 oz and 21 inches long. Mother and baby are doing great (though dad is still a sobbing mess) and were rockstars throughout the whole process. This papa couldn't be prouder of his girls and the way they worked together to make a family of 2 into a family of 3. Here are some pictures of the incredible waterbirth at our home. Thanks to all of you for your thoughts and prayers throughout this whole process...the energy was incredible in our place throughout the whole labor and delivery because of them. Welcome to the world Leighton, you'll always be my little girl.

Baby Bump Pics

I know! I know!! I have been saying that I would post baby bump pics my entire pregnancy! Sorry for the procrastination on this one considering baby Weber will be here in a matter of weeks:) I haven't done a really great job at remembering to take pics or post them, so all these are courtesy of either Tristan or my mom. Enjoy...

Snow Day

As a teacher, it is nice to still have the schedule of children in school. I get to have Thanksgiving break, Christmas break, and spring break. But one of the greatest times both as a student and teacher is getting to have those unexpected days off. Today was one of those days. Due to the amount of snow Dallas received Thursday my school had planned on opening at 10 am on Friday, but as the snow continued to fall Thursday night, the plans changed. We got the whole day off, and man was it a nice break. It ended up snowing more in Dallas Thursday, February 11, than it ever has. DFW airport recorded 12.5" and most of Dallas had between 10" and 13". Pretty amazing to see a white blanket across our world. Here are some pictures...Enjoy.

About 6 Weeks Left

Pretty amazing that Denisa is now 33 weeks along in her pregnancy. In a few more short weeks, our baby will be out in the world! It seems like just yesterday when we first found out that we were going to have a baby, and here we sit with just a couple of weeks before our family officially goes from 2 people to 3.
We had our first baby shower last weekend and were overwhelmed by how much people have done for us. We are certainly blessed to have such amazing friends and family to love, support, and bless our child even before it is born.
I'm sure you noticed that we are still calling our baby "it" because we don't know what it will be until it is born. Any guesses? I'm constantly wondering, but lately, have not been able to really firm up our opinions on the gender. A couple of weeks ago I had a dream that it was a boy, but just a few days ago I dreamt it was a girl. Not really sure what to think about that, but I do know that I love that baby so much already. It's pretty amazing.
